Kaštela is a string of seven small seaside towns between Split and Trogir – quieter than the city, with everything close by.

Seven castles by the sea

Between Split and Trogir, 15th- and 16th-century castles line the coast, each with its own old town and little harbour. Kaštel Gomilica even served as a Game of Thrones filming location.

Kaštel Stari

The waterfront with palms, fishing boats and cafés is a short walk away. Coffee by the sea in the morning, fresh fish in a konoba at night.

Beach & promenade

Pebble beaches and a long seaside promenade – for swimming, strolling and families with kids.

Wine with a story

Kaštela is home to Crljenak kaštelanski, the ancestor of Zinfandel. Taste it straight from local winemakers.

Day trips

Trogir (UNESCO) is 15 minutes away, Split and Diocletian's Palace 25 minutes – and from there, ferries to Brač, Hvar and Šolta.

Mount Kozjak

Mount Kozjak rises behind the town. Hiking trails lead to viewpoints overlooking the whole bay.
